Tourist and recreational field is a strategic direction in the development of the touristic infrastructure within the suburban zone of Ivano-Frankivsk. Objectively,the investigated region has all perspectives for the development of tourism; in particular, it is facilitated by the peculiarities of geographical pasition and relief, favourable climate, natural, historical and cultural, touristic and recreational potential walth. In recent years a positive dynamics in inorease of the number of tourists in the region is observed. The city of Ivano-Frankivsk is called a touristic centre, although in fact tourists consider it to be a transitional post on their way to the Carpathians. Residents of Ivano-Frankivsk have preserved their own history and traditions of the state. Distinct regional features of its residents, paneuropean cultural orientation, lingual and cultural peculiarities are those advantages on which the perspective development of the region as a touristic centre is based. Activization of the development of recreational and touristic potential of the adjacent part of the Carpathian region is an urgent issue in the social and economical development of Ivano-Frankivsk and its suburban zone. The development of a suburban areas contributes to the growth of the city environment favourable for the human.
